Ending the week with a colourful home in Paris’s bohemian neighbourhood of Canal Saint-Martin.
Manish Arora, a New Delhi born fashion designer did a major overhaul to the Parisian prewar apartment, breaking down walls and flooded the space with natural light; giving him a nearly bare canvas to deluge the place with his creativity.

His home is quintessentially Manish Arora. With bursts of colours and murals running through every room the apartment is engulfed in Arora’s theatrical touches. Follow this home tour and brace your senses for a dramatic assault of graffiti, bright colours and quirks.

Read Article →
With Vday right round the corner, we are all scurrying about to find that unique gift for that special person. While scouring about Etsy I stumbled on some great items that will make nice, thoughtful Valentine's day gifts!

Plan a movie night in full of cuddles with these original statement pillows. Psst...here's a tip: Spritz your cologne on them and she will think of you when she snuggle up with them next time.

These bath bombs looks good enough to eat. If your girlfriend leads a stressful life, these yummy looking bath bombs could just be the key. So go ahead and prepare a bath on Valentine's Day evening ready for her to come in from work, shake off her shoes and hope right in! Now aren't you a sweetie! :)

Flowers on Valentine's Day are always at extortionate prices, and there could be a chance of the florist confusing the orders due to the high volume of orders. So why not get your hands dirty and labour some gorgeous succulents into these adorably colourful planters. It is sincere and sweet. The best part is, they will last more than 3 days!

If your sweetheart loves working in the kitchen, she will appreciate this delicate linen kitchen towel. Kit out the kitchen with romantic kitchen textiles, and cook up a Valentine's Day meal for two while you are at it. Not only will you avoid the crowded, overpriced restaurants on that day, the pair of you are able to spent some quality time together to reconnect.

If you are adamant on bringing her somewhere, this handmade leather clutch will be the perfect for a night out on the town. This classy accessory will match any classy restaurant you will be taking her. :)

Hopefully this list inspires you to be imaginative and origianl in your gift choices this year. Make it count! Ladies, you can always drop little hints to help the men out. :)

5 DIY to get your home Chinese New Year ready

Read Article →
It has been a little quiet around here but I promise to get back into it. :)

Where I am at now we are enjoying a long weekend, so I'd thought to kick start the engine again with a mini round -up this week's favourite DIYs that will be perfect for this weekend activity. Also, Chinese New Year is just round the corner, which means many of us will be busy trying to redecorate the house for the festive season. These tutorials happen to be great and inexpensive ways to add some interest to the room without breaking the bank. :)

Chinese New Year always involve lanterns as decorations. Make your lantern decorations bloom with personality by adding your favourite colour and florals to them. The tutorial may be in Spanish, but it is so easy that the pictorial instructions will suffice.

Chinese New Year is all about prosperity and blessings. What is more prosperous than displaying your goodies in golden baskets. These golden baskets look gorgeous and glamorous without costing a bomb.

During Chinese New Year, it is customary to serve some traditioanl biscuits and snacks to your guests. Why not do it in style with this easy to do flower petals tray. You will be known as the hostess with the mostess.

Jazz up your vases with this easy to do frosted vase. You could modify this tutorial to include an auspicious Chinese New Year phrase.

It represents prosperity when you display calamansi trees in the house. So instead of settling for the boring terracotta planters they come in add a twist and dictate the colours of the planters with this simple to do tutorial.

Hope you enjoyed this little DIY round-up. If you decide to any of the tutorials, let us all know how it turned out. Happy Weekend! :)
